Like “dumb” phones and sitcom revivals, espresso martinis have seen a resurgence in popularity fueled by 90s nostalgia. According to Yelp, the business listing and review site saw an increase in the mention of coffee-based cocktails starting in 2021 and cited the drink as a trend for 2022.

Riding the comeback of the espresso martini, Emma Chamberlain’s Chamberlain coffee and Kendall Jenner’s tequila brand 818 have partnered to create their take on the popular libation.
