Airsickness bags, also known as “barf bags,” were once a ubiquitous part of flying. But like ashtrays in armrests and bottles of fluids larger than 3.4 ounces, barf bags have largely disappeared from the air traveling experience.
One reason is that planes are larger and more stable in the air, so the chance of nausea is much lower. Another reason is the availability of motion sickness medications like Dramamine.
